Sydney and Samantha are eleven months today! This week we have had a helmet scan and physical therapy.
The girls had their heads scanned and we have ordered new helmets for them to try and get more correction. Their heads did not improve a lot over the last six weeks. They will get their new helmets later this month. We are hoping that in 4 months, they will no longer wear the helmets. We are tired of these helmets and hope that we will get the numbers down to a four, Sydney is in the nine range and Samantha is in the seven range. We have a lot more work ahead of us.
Physical therapy went well this week. Samantha is doing better than she was a few weeks ago. She has low muscle tone in her right shoulder but we are working on her stretches and trying to get a lot of time on the floor. Sydney's doing fabulous on the floor. She does not tilt to either side. She is rolling with no effort. She got to go on her knees in physical therapy and she did not like it one bit. I'm not sure of her weight, but she is over twenty pounds and she needs to be a bit stronger before she crawls. She is not showing any signs of torticollis, which is what we are striving for. Both Sydney and Samantha are grabbing for items that they see, which is really nice to see. Our little preemies are getting bigger and growing up:)
