Eating Finger Foods
Sydney and Samantha had an evaluation for feeding this last week. They have been having a little difficulty with gagging while trying finger foods. I've noticed with everything else, it does come, just not as quickly for our girls. They have mastered gerber puffs and cheese puffs. We tried macaroni bites last night and Samantha ate them, Sydney held up her bottom lip to it. We've also done graham crackers. We keep trying new things with each meal. I've also introduced the sippy cup with water at meals and they try and like to bang them on their trays. Because they were born prematurely, the roof of their mouths could be higher and more sensitive, so we have to make it not as sensitive. They could also remember the the things being put down their throats when they were in the hospital as not pleasant and uncomfortable. We're proud of their progress. In a few weeks, we have their 15 month appointment, we will hopefully be switching to milk at that point.
