NICU Follow-up

Sydney and Samantha had a NICU follow-up appointment that went well next year. We were told that you would never guess that they were 24 week preemies. They have no issues with their size. They were given tests on their development, fine motor, and gross motor skills. They tested as we expected, some areas behind and some right on for their cognitive development. They have come a long way from being one pound babies with no muscles. They are actually 17 months and 20 days old and their adjusted/corrected aga is 14 months and 3 days. They will have another assessment next year when they are 2 years old.

Sydney

Samantha

In comparing the two, we learned that the scale for percentages is tight. Samantha has caught up with Sydney in height within an inch and within a pound with weight, or Sydney has slowed down.
