Sydney-ABR Test

Sydney had an ABR test on Friday morning to check her hearing in both ears, specifically looking for issues in her left ear. She had to be sedated for the test and she did awesome with the whole process. At this point, she has minimal loss in her left ear. We will continue to check to see if she stays the same or develops more hearing loss. She will have another test in 3 months where they put her in a booth with headphones. She can have loss due to her being on a ventilator or the meningitis that she had before she left the hospital. If her hearing loss gets worse in her left ear, she will need a hearing aid so it does not hamper her perception and speech.
