We haven't blogged in a bit, but we have been busy, busy, busy!
1. Finished the basement off with carpet and are shifting our stuff around and organizing with the new space! It seems to be taking a lot longer than expected!
2. We've been shopping some and getting the girls ready for school to start.
3. Samantha and Sydney will start preschool on September 12th and will be riding the bus together. A first for both of them! They will be attending school M, T, W, Th from 8:35 am until 11:15 am. They have a new teacher this fall and her name is Ms. Rita. We can't wait to meet her next week!
4. Kendall will be starting kindergarten and also riding the big bus starting on Wednesday. She has an orientation on Tuesday to meet her teacher Ms. Dovre. She is a little apprehensive about doing all the big girl things on her own but we know she will love it after she gets used to all the new things!
5. The girls started their new gymnastics classes this past week. Sydney and Samantha are now in the Stars class for the 3-4 year olds. Mom and Dad only help when it looks like they need to for class instead of the Mommy and Me class they were previously in. They did awesome for their first week! Kendall was invited to join the Mighty Mites (invitational only) and practices for 1 1/2 hours each week. The class is a little harder than the one she was previously in but she seemed to enjoy it.
6. Jim painted the master bathroom a color called Balboa Mist and installed a new light, cabinet pulls, and new hardware for the bathroom. We still need to make a frame for the mirror and add accessories but it is a nice change from the builder "Dover White". Next will be our bedroom once we finish some outside projects that need to be done before the white stuff hits again.
